What does it mean that the animation of weather induced air currents has preceded my existence by at least six thousand years, and is very likely to succeed my earthly journey by at least as many millennia?  We think of winds and weather as temporary and changeable, but if you back up enough, they are constant.  The fluctuation is not that great, and the activity is consistent.  Year after year, and century after century, the wind blows, the rains come, the seasons change, and men, like me, are just a brief moment.  Sometimes it is good to put yourself in context–here today, gone tomorrow.  Today is worthy, and I intend to fully play my part.  The wind chime will continue to ring and toll, though, even after I sink beneath the waves.
